Do You Need A Producer?

Regardless of whether you’re writing, recording, or releasing, you need a professional with the right skill set and network.

Struggling to finish your songs?

Maybe you are stuck in the song-writing process and need a fresh perspective. Whether you need help composing music for your melody, adding finishing touches, arranging your solo piece for a band, or incorporating a string section, an experienced professional can assist you.

Unsure who to trust with recording you?

You have the songs, but they need to be recorded in a way that truly captures their essence. Finding the right engineer and studio is crucial, but it's not as simple as just walking in. Have you done enough prep work to be efficient and stay in the creative zone?

Are you ready to give your recordings that professional mixing sheen?

You have everything recorded, but it doesn't sound quite right yet. Whether you recorded in a top-tier studio or at home, the next step is crucial. A professional can transform your tracks into polished songs, turning your recordings into a finished product.

Confused how best to release your song?

Your songs are recorded and mixed, but now it's crucial to ensure they reach your audience. A successful release involves a lot of research into digital distribution, publishing, licensing, funnel campaigns, securing royalties, gaining press, boosting streams, and optimizing your online presence. And don’t forget putting on a great, packed show to celebrate the release and make some money back.

Are you in a post-release daze and not sure where to go from there?

Now that you’ve released your music, it's not time to sit back. Do you know how to keep the momentum going? Continue delivering new material, seek out playlists and press coverage, and start booking shows locally and beyond. Consulting with someone with experience can help you sustain interest.

But you don’t have to.

Biography

I have been making music for almost 30 years and recording for two decades. It all started with a Fostex multitrack tape recorder in high school, and later, a class in recording with Pro Tools at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, where I studied jazz performance. The schooling and early experiences allowed me to begin writing, arranging, producing, and engineering for multiple artists. Studio CTS was my home studio starting in 2004, where I produced artists like Bruiser Queen, Groupthink, brotherfather, MusicEmbryo, Yankee Racers, and more. In 2015, I found a new home as a house engineer at Sawhorse Studios, where I have been recording ever since including a Grammy nomination. I have worked with The Allman Betts Band, LionsGate, Keyon Harrold, On Fillmore, Jackson Stokes, The Gorge, Samantha Clemons, otherfather, Goldberry, Darin Gray, One Way Traffic, Spirit + Sound, and many more.
