A Successful Birthday Weekend

My birthday was this past weekend, but I didn’t take any time off. Why take time off when you do what you love? I’m always thankful to be able to perform, but this weekend was special.

I performed around St. Louis with friends in The Dan Rubright Group, Dawn Weber, The Hillary Fitz Band, and a hodgepodge group with no name. All the stages and venues were inspiring, like the Big Top of Circus Flora, The Dark Room at The Grandel, Anew Rooftop overlooking Grand Center, The Science Center’s GROW Exhibit, and The City Academy. I was also able to teach a lesson with a high school student who’s really getting into some challenging music theory.

My weekend extends to today, as I perform original music with Paul DeMarinis and Steve Davis at Winifred Moore Auditorium, Webster University, this evening at 7pm (event details).

Thank you to everyone who made this weekend special. I hope to see you tonight or some time soon.

P.S. I also got a chance to spend time with my brother, Steven, who also had a birthday this weekend. Life isn’t all music (I guess). Here’s a picture of the St. Louis Blues and some of their prospects at training camp.

I only captured group one. Group two included more of the NHLers.

Chris Turnbaugh

I own an audio production company, called Low Muses Productions, LLC, that makes professional recorded music while also taking some of the tedious aspects of releasing music off of artists’ plates.

I also perform with The Gorge, The Steve Ewing Band, and many more in St. Louis, MO, and beyond.
